800 TECHNOLOGY LEADERS TO DISCUSS DIGITALIZATION OF ASSET-INTENSIVE INDUSTRIES

For the second time, Ignite, a technology conference for asset-intensive industries, will gather 800 technology and industry leaders between 12-13 June 2019 in Oslo, Norway. Ignite is hosted by Cognite and supported by the industry-leading companies Cognizant, Google, Framo, Siemens and National Instruments, among others. Leading speakers will discuss cyber risk in asset-intensive industries, how digitalization of asset-intensive industries contributes to the global sustainability agenda, geopolitical and technological trends and how organizations have to change and leaders have to adapt to the technological disruption. Inspiring keynotes will be complemented by three tracks: executive, data science and emerging technologies. An immersive technology demo area will let participants and speakers try the latest within technology for asset-heavy industries.

“The asset-intensive industries such as shipping and oil and gas are going through digitalization processes that radically change how we operate. By bringing together CTOs, CEOs and leading data scientists from the different industries for two-days of inspiring conversations and deep tracks with smaller conversations that are more technical will certainly make us more prepared for the changes to come,” says Torbjørn F. Folgerø, SVP & Chief digital officer Equinor, member of the Ignite program committee.

“By Ignite bringing together industry leaders, CTOs from the industries and putting us next to leading experts in their fields, such as cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and robotics, we can together digitalize our industry in the most effective way,” says Maria Moræus Hanssen, CEO DEA Group, member of the Ignite program committee.

Ignite will host speakers such as Darryl Willis, VP Oil, Gas & Energy Google Cloud; Karl Johnny Hersvik, Chief Executive Officer Aker BP; Jan Eyvin Wang, Chairman of the Board of WWH; Torbjørn Folgerø, SVP & Chief Digital Officer of Equinor; Ann-Christin Andersen, Chief Digital Officer, TechnipFMC, among others. The full list of speakers is available here.

For the asset-heavy industries to succeed in the future they must go through a digitalisation process. The digital industrial revolution requires setting a new standard for data science and emerging technologies, such as virtual reality and artificial intelligence, and automating processes through robotization. Ignite will be a glimpse of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, where industry and tech reimagine the way they work together.
